Google Reader is a solution to get all your favorite blogs all in one page (you can add the rss feed to the reader and it will be updated every time the blog is updated)
Also there is a Google reader gadget so you can add that in your Gmail and it will be right there when you go to check your email as a gadget on the side (want to know how to do that - check out - Integration of social media in Gmail)

If you become a fan (with Google) to a blog page it will be added to your Google reader.
